After Chad came Denmark , on 4.9.19.
Bernhard served a delicious Smorgasbord of Smoked Salmon, a Sour Cream and Horse Radish spread, and fresh chives, and then a fab roasted Duck stuffed with apples & pears (it’s a Christmas recipe, but hey…) with potatoes and caramelised purple cabbage.
Dorottya brought a bottle of god-awful Caraway Aquavit which none of us could stomach (does anyone really like Caraway??) and Lianne, a ginger NHS dietitian friend who soon became a permanent fixture of these dinners.
Bernhard soundtracked the dinner with an album of a classical Danish composer, Friedrich Kuhlau
